We gladly announce that Prof. Dr. Ferdinand von Eggeling has joined MSCJ.
Prof. von Eggeling is interested in MALDI mass spectropy imaging (Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization). This technique is used for the pathological analysis of various tissue types, especially in oncology. He is executive manager of the DFG-founded Core Facility Jena Biophotonic and Imaging Laboratory (JBIL); a joint initiative of the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology (IPTH), the Jena University Hospital (JUH) and the Friedrich Schiller University (FSU) Jena.
