Dagstuhl Seminar on “Computer Science Meets Ecology” accepted

The Schloss Dagstuhl Scientific Directorate accepted our proposal for a Dagstuhl seminar on “Computer Science Meets Ecology” where several members of MSCJ will be involved.

The seminar will take place from February 26, 2017 (Sunday) until March 3, 2017 (Friday).

Dr. Andreas Christoph joined MSCJ

We are happy to announce that Dr. Andreas Christoph joined MSCJ.

 

Dr. Andreas Christoph is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Institute of History of Medicine, Natural Sciences and Technology, Ernst-Haeckel-Haus Jena. His research interests focus on the history of maps, atlases and globes.

We are happy to announce that Prof. Dr. Tobias Oertel-Jäger joined MSCJ. Prof. Oertel-Jäger holds the chair for for Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems at the Mathematical Institute, University of Jena.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Löhne joined MSCJ

We are happy to announce that Prof. Dr. Andreas Löhne joined MSCJ. Prof. Löhne holds the chair for mathematical optimization at the Mathematical Institute, University of Jena.

Prof. Löhne works on vector and set optimization (in particular, on multiple objective optimization). His research interests range from theoretical aspects to applications and algorithms.
