Since December 1, 2021, two further experts complement the team of the Competence Center Digital Research (zedif).
Dr. Philipp Schäfer (left) has a background in software development and mathematics. Before joining zedif, he worked as a research scientist at DLR’s Institute of Data Science in Jena and as a software developer for two IT companies. He is now supporting researchers at the FSU and MSCJ members by teaching scientific software development and counseling on topics in this field.
Dr. Eckhard Kadasch (right) has a background in numerical fluid mechanics and the simulation of atmospheric boundary layer flows. Before joining zedif, he developed urban climate modelling tools at the German Meteorological Service in Offenbach. Now he is supporting researchers at FSU and MSCJ members in scientific software development and High-performance Computing (HPC).
